Ever wished you could be a Fire dancer? Well now, you CAN be!

Learn to Dance with Fire with Selah Joy  

Playing with Fire is a fun way to enjoy your body, engage your mind, channel your expression and enliven your spirit. In this workshop, we use Palm Candles as a small hand-held flame that is natural, safe and rather magical. Anybody can do it – you don’t need to be a dancer or have any fancy techniques up your sleeve (although I will show you some cool tricks!).

You may even fall in love with the fire and come home with your very own pair of candles!

For everyone’s safety

• Please wear a mask.
• Please practice social distancing when choosing where to sit. LEAVE GAPS.
• Please avoid sharing drinks/smokes and toys: bring your own.

Fire Dancers: For the JAM

• Everyone is welcome and encouraged to join.
• No Fuel No Fun – please BYOF!
• Please be conscious of the beach – use spray off buckets and spill trays.
• Stay safe: check yourself before you wreck yourself.
• Wearing a mask while spinning will protect YOU from your own FUMES.

Musicians

• All acoustic instruments are definitely invited.
• No sound systems please.
• A chance to create your own musical jam session!
• QUIET TIME: 22:00.

Spectators

• For your your own safety, please respect the EDGES of the FIRE DANCING CIRCLE. Please understand that we may ask you to move back/sit down so that we can spin safely where everyone can see us.
• PLEASE TAKE YOUR TRASH HOME WITH YOU!!! The bins are NOT big enough, please take your trash bags ALL THE WAY home with you.
• Please use bags or jars for your candles.
• NO fireworks, bonfires or Chinese lanterns.
• Drinking alcohol and smoking cannabis in a public area is illegal (but we’re not the cops).
